PDFkit (“the app”) is built by Jenin (jenin.dev). This document covers both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service for the app.

Part I — Privacy Policy

Short version

What we do not collect

The app reads PDFs only when you pick one in the file picker. The picked file is opened on-device for editing and is never sent to a server.

What is collected, and why

When you use the app, the following data is collected through third-party SDKs we embed:

Firebase Analytics (Google)

Anonymous app-usage events such as screen opens, button taps, and crashes. These help us understand which features are used and what is broken. The data is tied to an anonymous, app-bound identifier (the Firebase Installation ID), not to you personally. Resets if you clear app data or reinstall.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

If the app crashes or hits an ANR, a crash report is uploaded. It includes the stack trace, device model, OS version, free memory, and similar diagnostics. It does not include your PDFs or the file paths of the documents you opened.
